Yes. Pediatric care is not simply a smaller version of adult chiropractic care. Techniques, positioning, examination, and treatment are adapted to the child's age, developement, size, and individual needs.

For most pregnancies, chiropractic care is absolutely safe when provided by a qualified chiropractor who is experienced in the care for pregnanct patients. Your health history and current symptoms will be reviewed before treatment, and Dr. Laura will coordinate with your prenatal care provider or recommend further evaluation when appropriate.

Chiropractic care during pregnancy is commonly used to address musculoskeletal concerns such as back, pelvic, hip, and other pregnancy related discomforts. The growing belly is accomodated with positioning and a specialized chiropractic table design to comfortably support the changing shape of the body. Baby is well protected within the uterus and amniotic sac, and treatment is adapted to avoid unnecessary pressure on the abdomen. 

Comfort is always part of the conversation. Dr. Laura checks in frequently throughout your visit and adjusts positioning, pressure, and techniques based on how you and your body are feeling that day. 

No. Dr. Laura has additional training related to infant feeding and oral tether concerns and can provide supportive care before or after a frenotomy when appropriate, as a part of a collaborative care approach with your child's other providers.

Yes. Ohana Wellness Co. is designed with family care in mind. There are always clean toys for kids to play with and a cozy place for a baby here.
